H. E. Mrs. Sinknesh Ejigu has been appointed as Minister of Mines since October 2010. She has served as Vice and State Minister of Mines and Energy from July 1998 to October 2010. She was head of the Ethiopian Geological Laboratory. She has BSc. Degree in Chemistry from Addis Ababa University (1980). M. Sc. Degree in Analytical Chemistry from University of East Anglia, Norwich, United Kingdom.
